Fedor’s opponent finally revealed!
Despite the fact that the new Japanese promotion RIZIN announced that Fedor Emelianenko in his comeback match is to have a worthy opponent that will attract the attention of all MMA fans, it did not happen.
As announced two months ago, Fedor’s opponent will be Jaideep Singh. The leaders of the Japanese promotion kept saying that they are looking for an exciting and worthy opponent, but they obviously failed since all good fighters are bound with contracts with other promotions.
The Indian kickboxer has only two MMA fights in his career in which he came to victory. His last fight was in October when he was better than Carlos Toyota and won via stoppage after the second round. Fedor Emelianenko returns to the arena after more than three years. Last time he fought in June 2012 when he beat Pedro Rizzi.
Fedor and Jaideep will lead RIZIN event to be held on December 31 while Sakuraba and Aoki will headline the first event that will take place December 29. Goran Reljić will also fight Vadim Nemkov in the eight-man-tournament.
