Mladen Brestovac

Mladen Brestovac will stand against Dutch heavyweight Jahfarr Wilnis at the Glory 14 event in Zagreb on March 8. The two fighters will face each other as part of the Superfight series, and the bout will be held in the heavyweight class, over 95 kg. The event is, as earlier announced, headlined by triple K-1 WGP winner Remy Bonjasky and Croatian hero Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic. Glory 14 Zagreb is shaping up to be one of the strongest events for the global kickboxing leader in 2014. This is the fourth match revealed on the fight card for the spectacle in Arena Zagreb.

Jahfarr Wilnis

Wilnis is Netherlands’ biggest heavyweight hope, and fans in Zagreb already had the opportunity to see him at the Final Fight tournament held in November 2013 in Arena Zagreb. Wilnis lost his bout via decision to experienced Czech veteran Tomas Hron.

Even though he initially took up soccer, Jahfarr quickly realized that kickboxing was a much better choice and became fully committed to the sport soon afterwards. It has definitely been worth the effort as his current professional score stands at 22 wins and only 3 losses, and he is considered a big prospect. Even more impressive are his stats in Glory, where he currently has a clean 3-0 score, having beaten names like Brice Guidon and Jamal Ben Saddik, and he currently sits at 13th place in the heavyweight rankings.Croatian audience is well acquainted with his brother Jason too, as he had three bouts in Final Fight, each time triumphing via a stoppage. Just like Jahfarr, Jason also fights in the elite Glory.

Mladen Brestovac

Alongside Mirko Filipovic and Igor Jurkovic, Mladen Brestovac is the biggest Croatian kickboxing name at the moment. While he has achieved very good results throughout his career, his sudden rise, which brought him a contract with Glory, started two years ago at the Cro Cop Final Fight event where he defeated Mourad Bouzidi. This was followed by triumphs against the likes of Sergei Lascenko, Ali Cenik, Frank Munoz and Kirk Krouba.

This 2m and 120 kg fighter has an impressive professional score of 42 wins (27 KOs) and 9 losses. There is no doubt that Glory 14 Zagreb is the most important event in his career and an opportunity he shouldn’t miss.

Tickets for the Glory 14 Zagreb kickboxing spectacle have been on sale since last week and can be purchased via the Eventim system. Glory has adjusted its pricing for the Croatian market, making tickets available for as low as 90 HRK.
