Second fight confirmed for Lungiambula
Former EFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, Dalcha Lungiambula (10-1) will make his second appearance in the UFC against Magomed Ankalaev (11-1) at UFC Fight Night: Moscow in November.
After marking his UFC debut in June with a third-round TKO win over Dequan Townsend, Lungiambula has already put the light heavyweight division on high alert following his impressive debut.
Many would question a trip into hostile enemy territory so soon into a UFC career but not the fearless Lungiambula. Flying into the eye of the storm, Champion will be facing a man with three Octagon appearances under his belt in little over a year. At 2-1 in the UFC, Magomed Ankalaev lost in sensational circumstances on his UFC debut when he was submitted in the last second of his fight with Paul Craig at UFC Fight London: Werdum v Volkov in March last year.
Since his Octagon debut defeat, the Russian has bounced back with a first-round TKO win over Marcin Prachnio and a unanimous victory over Klidson Abreu. With five of his eleven wins coming by way of KO/TKO, Ankalaev will be entering the Octagon with a man eager to impress and show the world that he means business. With seemingly an entire continent supporting him, the drive and passion of Lungiambula, as well as an abundance of talent, could prove the key to this fight as nothing less than a win would be enough for “Champion” Lungiambula.
UFC Fight Night Moscow takes place on Saturday 9th November at the CSKA Arena in Moscow.
