Lion Fight signs former Lumpinee & Channel 7 champion
Constantly on the prowl for world-class talent, Lion Fight Promotions is very excited to announce the acquisition of renowned Thai fighter Tong “Tukkatong” Anucha to a multi-fight contract.
The phenomenal welterweight is slated to make his debut with Lion Fight in September, bringing an astonishing record of 165-30-8 into his North American debut.
Anucha comes to Lion Fight with an impressive resume highlighted by his recognition as a two-time Lumpinee Stadium and two-time Channel 7 champion.
“Our plan has always been to bring in the very best fighters available and to show our audience the outstanding skills of the world’s elite Muay Thai combatants,” said Lion Fight CEO Scott Kent.
“Lion Fight has showcased numerous athletes from Thailand such as Yodslanklai Fairtex, Malaipet Sasiprapa, and our current two-division champion ‘Smokin’ Jo Nattawut. We are very pleased that ‘Tukkatong’ is now part of that spectacular group of fighters.”
Lion Fight’s next event is Lion Fight 37 set for Friday, July 28th at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and airing live on both AXS TV Fights in the United States as well as Fight Network throughout Canada, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Lion Fight 37 is headlined by two title fights including Nattawut’s welterweight crown at stake against Petchtanong Banchamek. The title pits undefeated Americans Chip “The Surgeon” Moraza-Pollard against Paul “The Reaper” Banasiak against each other to determine the inaugural Lion Fight world cruiserweight champion.
