Lion Fight Promotions is very pleased to announce that cruiserweight title contender Chip Moraza-Pollard has agreed to a new multi-fight deal with the premier Muay Thai combat organization.

The undefeated striker from Plymouth, Massachusetts, will meet rival Paul Banasiak for the vacant Lion Fight cruiserweight title at Lion Fight 37 taking place on Friday, July 28 at Foxwoods Resort Casino and airing live on both AXS TV Fights and Fight Network.

“Chip is a dynamic revelation in Muay Thai and unquestionably one of the elite rising stars in the entire world,” said Scott Kent, President & CEO of Lion Fight.

“We are excited to have him under our banner and we look forward to seeing him compete for the title on July 28th.”

Nicknamed “The Surgeon” for his precision striking abilities, Moraza-Pollard has notched three convincing wins inside the Lion Fight ring, highlighted by his stunning victory over Brett Hlavacek and a second-round TKO verdict against Matt Coleman. Moraza-Pollard’s performances have garnered heaps of praise, perhaps none more boisterous than that of long-time fight aficionado and former AXS TV Fights play-by-play announcer “The Voice” Michael Schiavello.

“I have seen thousands of Muay Thai fights over the last 20 years and I would say that was the best performance I have seen from a guy with one fight in this sport,” said Schiavelllo following Moraza-Pollard’s win over Hlavacek.

“He’s fighting like a guy with 50 or 60 fights under his belt. I am blown away by how good Moraza-Pollard’s Muay Thai is.”

Moraza-Pollard hopes his winning ways continue when he squares off against fellow unbeaten American Banasiak with the championship belt at stake.

“It feels great signing with Lion Fight since it validates what I’d been saying for years while fighting mixed martial arts that given the chance, I could prove to be one of the best strikers in the world,” said Moraza-Pollard.

“I plan to continue to prove that point every fight. Thank you to Scott Kent and the Lion Fight staff as well as to Prime Elite Management.”

The Moraza-Pollard/Banasiak title fight is the co-main event of Lion Fight 37 alongside another title bout that will see two-division champion “Smokin” Jo Nattawut defend his super welterweight belt against legendary Thai Petchtanong Banchamek.
