Superior FC

Germany’s leading MMA promotion Superior Fighting Championship is to hold its 17th event at Kreis Arena in Dueren, Germany, on May 20 with three exciting title bouts!

Račić in bantamweight title bout

Superior FC recently started to cooperate with Croatia’s Final Fight Championship and the two promotions closed the deal on cooperation when it comes to their fighters too. In that manner, FFC welterweight champ Roberto Soldić is also Superior FC champ. Abusupiyan “Abus” Magomedov, one of Europe’s top middleweight fighters, fought in the FFC ring last month in Ljubljana, but he also fights under the Superior FC banner. And it’s similar with one of Croatia’s best MMA fighters, Antun Račić. “The Killer” is former FFC champion with a couple of significant bouts in the FFC ring. On May 20 he is to fight for Superior FC bantamweight title. His opponent will be Latvia’s Edgards Skrivers (10-4) and the bout promises to be one of the most exciting matches on the Superior FC 17 fight card.

Bakočević gets a shot at Superior FC title

Another promising bout will definitely be the lightweight title match between Montenegro’s Voso Bakočević and Superior FC champ Nordin Asrih. Both fighters are very experienced while Asrih has 35 professional matches in his career with 24 wins and 10 losses. Only a few days ago Bakoćević won Megdan FC belt after controversial win over Stefan Zvijer. His current professional record is 26-14-1 and Superior FC belt would definitely be the biggest success of his career. The bout will be even more alluring for the German fans who will definitely come to support “The Fist of Tangier” who is currently riding a 4-fight win streak including the win at Superior FC 14 when he won the title against Cengiz Dane.

Schmiedeberg vs. Heden

The fight that has the majority of German MMA fans talking about is the showdown between Germany’s heavyweight Bjorn Schmiedeberg (11-6-1) who is to defend his title against equally gigantic Brianom Hedenom (30-15-0) from the US. Heden has long been fighting under the banners of America’s biggest promotions and some of his notable opponents include Tyler East, Sean McCorkle, Timothy Johnson and Travis Wiuff. He is currently riding a 4-win streak including a brutal KO of Tyler East at Legacy FC 60 in September last year. All these fact are a proof that Schmiedeberg will have to face a difficult task if he wants to impress his hometown audience in Dueren.
