Las Vegas, NV, (Oct. 2, 2018) – The FFC Welterweight Championship is up for grabs at “FFC 31 Night of Champions” in what is being called a “statement fight” between two MMA fighters with plenty to prove.

Ben Egli (10-2-0) and Roberto “Facada” Neves (10-3-0) possess records that are almost identical and that is not all these two have in common. Both fighters are extremely hungry and are looking to use their Oct. 12th Co-Main Event title fight to catapult their budding careers.

Egli was riding a four-fight win streak from October 1, 2016 to August 5, 2017 before suffering his first defeat in five fights to Umar Yankovski, by unanimous decision. As a result, Egli is determined to get back to his winning ways and prove that his recent loss was more of a fluke than anything else.

“I took that fight against Yankovski on short notice and I didn’t fight my fight”, said Egli. “Since that time I have watched almost all of my old fights to remind me of the things that have gotten me to this point.”

Roberto Neves, on the other hand, has won four of his last seven fights, including three by unanimous decision. At the moment, he is on a two-fight win streak and is not taking his opponent, Egli, lightly.

“It will be a tough fight and I am training hard”, said Neves. “I have improved my Jiu-Jitsu and I have done a lot of Muay Thai because I prefer to stand.”

As you can imagine, both fighters are excited about fighting for a title in “The fight capital of the world” – Las Vegas.

For Egli, fighting is Vegas has been on his to-do list for quite some time.

“I knew someday I would fight in Vegas, I just didn’t know when”, said Egli. “I am blessed to get this opportunity, title fights changes lives dramatically and I am ready to take on all comers.”

Neves, who currently resides in Brazil, breaks it down in one simple phrase.

“I get to realize my dream of fighting in Las Vegas.”

For so many, getting to fight in Vegas is the most incredible experience a fighter can ask for. Now, the question to Egli and Neves would have to be, how do you plan to take advantage of the opportunity?

“I see myself winning this fight by submission just like I’ve done in my previous fights”, said Egli. “If the fight goes to the ground I am 100% that I will submit or TKO him.”

“I feel good in every area”, said Neves. “It’s going to be a great fight but I see myself winning, maybe by knockout.”
