Ivana Habazin signs with world’s famous manager, wants rematch with Braekhus
Croatian professional boxer Ivana Habazin lost the IBF welterweight title to Cecilia Braekhus last September. The match was very tight and went to the last tenth round. It should be noted that at the time Braekhus was the WBC, WBA and WBO world champion. Today, Ivana Habazin wants a rematch and to get to her goal she signed a contract with the American boxing manager Eddie Montalvo.
"I want this rematch so badly, I need it as much as I need the air that I breathe. Cecilia is the best in the world and it would not only be an honor to fight her one more time, but this time I would put an end to her domination. This time I'm the one who begs Cecilia's managers to give me a chance in the US, although I heard professional boxing is allowed in Norway as well. It really would be a superb spectacle. I would like to challenge Braekhus and do a rematch with her as soon as possible," said Habazin and added:
"Once we knew Mr. Montalvo and his work, we agreed to cooperate. He has had a 10 world champions and I consider him one of the most transparent people in women's boxing in general. I felt that we need him on the team. He came with great recommendations."
Habazin concluded that her dream was to train and fight in the United States. We hope that this female boxer and a student of our famous boxing expert Vlado Božić will get a new shot and use it well.
