Artem Lobov off UFC 223 after McGregor incident
The UFC pulled the featherweight from his UFC Fight Pass featured bout against Alex Caceres, promotion president Dana White told reporters in New York (via MMAjunkie.com’s Mike Bohn).
Lobov will not be competing on Saturday night in Brooklyn because of a chaos caused by his teammate, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. McGregor and his entourage trashed a backstage area and threw objects at a van that was transporting fighters from media day to the hotel.
Lobov has not yet commented publicly on the news. It isn’t clear at this time whether Caceres will receive his show money for the cancelled matchupm, according to MMAJunkie.
