UFC 194 was fatal to Chris Weidman who suffered the first defeat in his carrer. Moreover, he got heavily beaten and he lost the middleweight title. But former champ does not give up and he already plans to get his belt back.

Weidman made history when he defeated the long-term king of the middleweight division in 2013, Anderson Silva. After that he defeated him once again in rematch and defended the title twice more. However, No1 contender criticized the champ claiming he fought only old Brazilians who are about to retire and it really showed that Weidman still has a lot to learn if he wants to stay on top.

Yesterday Weidman thanked all his fans on Instagram and announced his return.

“I will remember this moment for ever. It has already changed me for the better. The motivation I have inside myself has never been stronger. I did not feel like myself in there for many reasons but it was a loss that I needed and deserved. I have been playing back different moments in the fight where i didn’t do or react the way I should have but this was all part of a true master plan that God has in store for me. I will be back and I will be champion again. I just wanna let everyone know that I am ok. I am so blessed with an amazing family, friends, team and fans. Thank you all so much for the support. It means more now than ever,“ wrote Weidman.
