Donald Cerrone wishes for 165-pound division
“Cowboy” Cerrone finished Yancy Medeiros with a TKO with just two seconds left in the first round to finally get back on track. The victory gave him 20 in the UFC and tied the record held by Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre! The welterweight bout was the main event of UFC Fight Night 126 card at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
“I can make 160 (pounds),” he said after stopping Yancy Medeiros at UFC Fight Night 126, which took place at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. “It’s that last little bit, I just don’t have the bodyfat, or I’m too lean.”
“Khabib (Nurmagomedov) wants some (expletive), I’ll make it,” Cerrone said.
“Why not 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185 – let’s do them all,” he said. “You’d see a lot of people make that (at 165). I’d be there.”
