GSP convinced he would return as better version of himself
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre successfully renegotiated his contract with the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion and is expected to make his Octagon return later this year.
And while “Rush” has been inactive for over three years, the lifelong martial artist has continued to better himself inside the gym, which is why he believes the new version of himself would whoop the old.
“I feel better than I’ve ever been,” St-Pierre said (transcribed by Bloody Elbow). “I feel that the Georges St-Pierre now would beat the Georges St-Pierre that was the greatest of the time that I used to compete. So I can’t wait to go back in there and show people, including myself – test my self, test my skill – to see how everything goes.”
