JDS: ’I hope Overeem doesn’t fail the drug test this time’

Alistair Overeem and Junior dos Santos will fight on December 19 at UFC on FOX 17. The two fighters were already to fight twice but both matches were canceled. First time Overeem tested positive on doping tests and second time he sustained an injury.

This is the third attempt to finally match up Overeem and Junior dos Santos. Immediately after it was announced that they would fight in the co-main event of the UFC on FOX 17, Junior dos Santos made a statement.

I don’t choose opponents, but I’m not gonna lie — it will feel great to shut this guy up. USADA Let’s work.”

Then he said, in Portuguese:

“I hope he doesn’t fail the drug test this time.”

In his last match Junior dos Santos (17-3) defeated Stipe Miočić via unanimous decision after five rounds. On the other hand, Overeem will enter the Octagon after two consecutive wins over Struve and Nelson.

The whole event will be headlinesdby the title fight between Rafael Dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.
