Jeff Mayweather: I can train Ronda Rousey to become a decent striker in 2-3 months

Despite her 13 months’ break, Ronda did not demonstrate any improvement in her stand up game. Amanda Nunes outclassed the former champion and KO’ed her in the first round. Former boxer and boxing champion Jeff Mayweather, who is also Floyd Mayweather’s uncle, claims he could help Ronda with her boxing in a short period of time.
“I think if she doesn’t, she might as well just retire,” Mayweather told Helen Yee of Eyes on the Game. “If she continues doing what she’s doing with the same guy, she’s not gonna get no better. That’s already proven.”
Mayweather has had several MMA fighters under his tutelage, including Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal and Roy Nelson.
“I would say probably, maybe two to three months,” Mayweather said when asked how long it would take for Rousey to become a “decent striker”. “She knows how to fight, but it’s just that she hasn’t been taught the right way, that’s all. So I don’t think it would take that long.”
