Jury accepted to fight Diaz, but is still waiting for Nate’s reponse
UFC will soon prepare a real treat. After cancelling the match against Abel Trujillo due to an injury, Myles Jury is ready for a new opponent. UFC offered him Nate Diaz. Myles accepted the match and now he is just waiting for Nate’s response.
Something is seriously cooking in the UFC and it seems Nate Diaz could finally return to the cage. According to certain sources, a week ago UFC offered Myles Jury a fight with Nate Diaz. However, Diaz still gave no answer.
"I accepted the fight with you, Nate, when the UFC called me a week ago, and now I’m waiting for your answer. I have nothing but respect for you, but tell me, are we gonna do it or not," Jury said to Fox Sports.
Of course, Nate Diaz (17-9, 12-7 UFC) still gave no answer and it seems that he is still hoping for a new contract with the UFC according to which he should be better paid. A little over a year ago, Nate signed a new contract and according to the UFC he was paid $ 30,000 for his last performance and $ 30,000 extra for the victory over Gray Maynard.
Jury (14-0, 5-0 UFC) ended up in this organization via The Ultimate Fighter where he was defeated via split decision by Al Iaquinta in perhaps the best fight in the history of this show. After that he scored five victories and he is undefeated in his professional career. His biggest victory so far was the one against Diego Sanchez but he also defeated Michael Johnson, a fighter who is currently in the middle of a big hype.
