Myles Jury impressed the combat world with his dominant victory over Diego Sanchez at UFC 171. After the fight he stated he had expected it to be much harder, but that he still appreciated Diego who was one of the fighters he always wanted to fight.

Immediately after the bout, Myles Jury said he expected Diego's better performance: "I don't want to sound cocky, but I beat him so easily," Jury said. "I've been watching Diego for so long, he's a household name and a warrior and has the biggest heart in the UFC. That was the thing I was most worried about."

"I'm not afraid to receive a blow and that's the way I fought. The longer I am at the UFC, the more experience I gather and my performance will become better and better", Jury said and added: "So far I've never fought a fighter with Diego's status, but my team and me coaches were convincing me all the time that I can win anyone and be the best in the world."

So far, Jury has never been defeated, he won five bouts at UFC and, besides Diego Sanchez, he also defeated Michael Johnson, who is currently one of the favorites in the lightweight category. When asked whom he would like to fight next Jury replied: "My biggest wish was to fight Diego or Gomio. Now I don't know whom I'd like to fight. In one thing I'm sure, I want to progress in the rankings but I am not thinking about fighting for the title. When it comes to scheduling new fights, I leave it to my managers and UFC leadership. I am 25 and I want to enjoy."
