Neil Magny to replace Brown at TUF Latin America 2 Finale!
UFC found a replacement for the bout with Kevin Gastelum who fights in the main event of the TUF Latin America 2 Finale, November 21 in Monterrey. Neil Magny will step up for injured Matt Brown.
Welterweight fighter Magny has already become known as a reliable and high-quality option when it comes to last minute replacements and he fights more often than most of his UFC colleagues. In 2014 he tied the record with Roger Huerta who had the biggest number of wins in one year. Magny’s streak of seven wind was stopped by Demian Maia at UFC 190, but he came back when his defeated Eric Silva in August, this time as replacement as well.
Magny was supposed to fight Stephen Thompson at UFC 195 in January but now it is not sure whether Thompson will remain on the card.
With this bout Kevin Gastelum is to return to the welterweight division after an unsuccessfully attempt to cut weight and fight in the middleweight division.
Ricardo Lamas and Diego Sanchez will fight in the co-main event of the TUF Latin America 2 Finale. Having in mind that this event is to take place in Mexico, Sanchez will certainly make it a war and he decided to fight in the featherweight division as the end of his career is slowly approaching.
