UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum doesn't mind if he is not headlining his first title defense.

The new UFC champion spoke to media during UFC 190 fight week.  When asked if he would be willing to co-headline the Aldo vs. McGregor card "Vai Cavalo" replied:

"I want to fight on the Aldo vs. McGregor card. Fans want to watch this fight, so I’m willing to fight there“, said Werdum and continued.

"For sure, I would be down to fight in the co-main event. There’s a lot of expectation for this fight between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo, it will get a lot of attention. Heavyweights are important, of course, but a fight like this will draw more attention than a rematch with Cain Velasquez, for an example."

If he doesn’t get the chance to fight on the Aldo-McGregor card, Werdum expects he will defend his title in February.

"I will probably fight in December of February, at the Super Bowl weekend card," he said. "I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I would really like to fight on this card."
