There’s a lot of home pride on the line this Saturday night at GLORY 45 AMSTERDAM.
Five fighters from Mike’s Gym in North Amsterdam are on the card, as is Amsterdam native Tyjani Beztati. For all of them, the idea of losing on home soil is unconscionable – Amsterdam is their home, their workplace and their support base.
Mike Passenier, head coach at Mike’s Gym, says his team are ready to “defend Amsterdam” – Massaro Glunder faces Rotterdam’s Zakaria Zougarry, Yousri Belgaroui faces Utrecht’s Jason Wilnis and honorary Amsterdamer Serhiy Adamchuk challenges Den Bosch’s Robin van Roosmalen for the featherweight title.
Passenier also has two new fighters making their GLORY debuts – Stoyan Koprivlenski and Mike Spragh – which has made for a pretty intense training room over recent weeks. Beztati doesn’t fight out of Mike’s Gym but he does wear the Amsterdam ‘XXX’ with pride. He’s facing Thailand’s Yodkhunpon Sitmonchai.
